Points of attention

Before offering the sessions an explanation is needed on which factors are important for the success of the method. In other words, there are a number of determining factors that you as a coach should take into account during the sessions.

First, I want to emphasize that my method is not about performance. It is not the best performer of the assignment that wins the main prize. In my method, the focus is more on the uniqueness of each child. Every child has its own qualities. One is better at sports, the other better at math. What qualities a child has does not matter, the most important thing is that everyone can be who he wants to be.

Secondly, I would like to emphasize how important it is to continue working from the qualities and positive qualities of a child and to reinforce it. As a coach you need to observe the children closely throughout the session. During these observations you try to focus as a coach on the positive sides. State the positive that you perceive of each child.

Thirdly, I would like to emphasize once again the importance of a positive connection and a positive relationship between the children and the coach. As a coach it is important to guide the children lovingly. Loving guidance on the one hand offers the love and support that the children need, but on the other hand it ensures clear boundaries and agreements. As a coach you should emphasize what is not possible and what the consequences are if this happens. Through this way of guiding you let the children be who they are or want to be and you offer a safety net where necessary.

I also want to emphasize that children at the age of 6 still want to fully explore and experiment. These two elements are also extremely important in my method to make children aware of situations. Have the children look for themselves and their own movements. This is only possible if they are given enough freedom to search for themselves and their movements. At the same time, as a coach you can take a supported role here. Just as I mentioned before, it is important to name what you see.

Furthermore, I do not want to avoid the importance of pleasure. Making sure the children come to the sessions with pleasure is the goal of every session. Letting children experience a sense of fun will release more energy which will stimulate the imagination and creativity. It will also ensure that they take on challenges and do not give up easily.
